Below is a sample of what known as a "Nested" pattern. Taking several different elements and "Nesting" them together into one image layout to save material and prevent waist. The pattern below was originally created in .DXF format for use with C.N.C. (Computer Number Controlled) equipment e.g. laser cutters. Each separate grid was also actually a separately created .DXF file that was cut and pasted into the "nested" pattern .DXF file. This particular file is intended to be used with a laser cutter on ABS plastic.
