• Height of figure is calculated for a stature of 6'. For 3 3/4" tall figures, it is easer to use 1:18 scale than 19.2 scale since 1:18 scale is a somewhat common scale for models.

• Though Vintage Mego figures and TV Classic figures are commonly referred to as 8" tall figures which would be 1:9 scale, in reality they are actually closer to 7.5 inches tall which would be 1:9.6 scale.

• "HO" scale is commonly said to be 1:87 scale. In reality it is actually 1:87.08571428571 and may be rounded to 1:87.1. The reason true "HO" scale is 1:87.08571428571 and not 1:87 is this: In the real world the rails of standard U.S. rail roads are 4' 8" apart. If you measure the space between the rails of an "HO" scale section of track and do the math you get 1:87.08571428571 as the actual scale not 1:87. In most cases the modeler does not need to be this accurate building "HO" scale models, but we have provided this information for sticklers of the scale.

• "G" or "Garden" scale is not standard and varies from 1:32 to 1:29 or larger! 1:22.5 is commonly used, as is 1:24.

• "O" scale is 1:48

• "OO" scale varies from 1:76 to 1:72.

• "N" scale is 1:160

• "S" scale is 1:64

• "TT" scale is 1:100 in the U.K. and 1:120 in the U.S. 1:128 is also sometimes considered "TT" scale.

• "TY" scale is 1:900

• "Z" scale is 1:220

• "½Z" is 1:440 (sometimes shown as "HZ")
