Cobra Shadow Striker Vehicle

The Cobra Shadow Striker pictured above started life as a Funskool A.W.E. Striker vehicle. The body, roll bars and top mounted gun were airbrushed in matt black. The wheel hubs were hand painted with Tamiya FX-1 (Flat Black). The undercarriage, which was already molded in black was left original color. Also left original color were the camera and antennae.  Although the Cobra logo on the front of the vehicle appears red in the photo it is actually silver foil (a red back drop used when taking the photo reflected in the foil).

The Driver figure is from the Toys 'R' Us exclusive "Cobra Night Watch" 6-pack.

Fan Fic Vehicle Background:

Built by Destro from plans stolen by Zartan, the Cobra Shadow Strikers are virtually identical to the GI-Joe A.W.E. Striker vehicles. Captured samples reveal that their armor is however slightly thinner and the engines are modified for more speed, yet run quieter than the standard GI-Joe A.W.E Strikers. They are equipped with the latest in electronics for operations at night. Though we have only captured samples with run-of-the-mill Cobra Infantry solders it’s believed they are also used by the nearly invisible and highly elusive, Crimson Shadow Guard.
