Joe Desert Hummer Vehicle |

Pictured Left is a custom 1:18 scale hummer with trailer in desert camo. I completed this custom sometime around 2000 or 2001. The Trailer was scratch-built entirely from Evergreen Scale Models styrene except for the wheels which were taken from a thrashed vintage Joe VAMP. |

Comparison photo of the base toy used in this custom and the custom itself. The base toy was a Trendmasters, Inc. Godzilla Hummer toy ©1999, which I got on clearance for about $4.00 shortly after the movie stopped playing in theaters. Though I haven't taken time to add further details such as decaling, the body paint is finished. The entire body was airbrushed in Testors Acryl "Sand" #4720 over a primer coat. |

Photo of the custom version showing roof hatch modification. The original simply had an open roof so I made removable roof hatch cover and modified the the vehicle body so the hatch would snap snugly into place. |
